Great stay, lovely people, surrounded by nature.

Simply: everything! Ambong Rainforest Retreat is such a great place run by lovely people. Everything is well thought through and the service is exceptional. In fact we loved the stay so much that we changed our travel schedule to enjoy more time here. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, yet, the Cenang strip/mall is within walking distance (30min) or alternatively a Grab/taxi can be hailed easily. The hotel staff - everyone (!) - is super nice and helpful with suggesting activities and what not. The breakfast is delicious and guests can choose between two wonderful restaurants with great atmosphere and views (one is vegan). Thanks to the whole Ambong Team for having us and making our honeymoon start as amazing as it could have been - we will definitely stay at Ambong when coming back to Langkawi!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

Main thing was that the staff at Ambong were friendly and very helpful. Definitely provided top-notched customer service. If you're travelling alone and don't feel like hitting the town, they've always got some activities that you can get yourself involved with, or you could ask them for recommendations. The breakfast was great (recommend going early to sit outside in the cool air and enjoy the great view - of course beware of monkeys, don't bring a lot of loose items). Shuttle between the room > lobby > brekky area was always quick. If you're not into bugs, then you may not be too comfortable here. However, just make sure your doors and windows are tightly shut and you're all good. Location wise, the beach area is walkable (about 5-10 mins from the lobby), and the property is on Pantai Tengah (adjacent to the party beach, Pantai Cenang) so you can always escape the noise or get to the party street easily. Definitely, if I'm in need of another rejuvenation trip, Ambong Rainforest Retreat is on my list.
